Preface
In order to be a true Baptist, a member of the Church that Jesus
built and is still building, members of that Assembly that He began in Matthew 16:18,
we need to have a solid foundation in the Biblical Doctrines of God.
I have not tried to write on all of them but I have tried to show
that the foundational doctrine, that of the Absolute Sovereignty of God is
Biblical. It is there. It is plain and one does not have to search for it.
Spiritual things are visible to the spiritual eye. Spiritual understanding is
there for the spiritual man or woman, but we do need to, "Study to show
ourselves approved unto God...."
The true Baptist, who is the only true member of God's Church, can
not be a lazy person but must be the "people of the book", they must
be as the Bereans, searching the Scriptures to see if these things be true.
I have tried to make this work short and understandable for those
who need the milk of the Word as well as those who can dine on the meat of the
Word.
I can only serve this up as I have come to understand it myself
and so I pray that God has given me the ability to transmit it to you in a form
that is readable and that will bring glory to God and a blessing to you as the
study did to me.
